Jobs Partnership

The Youth Jobs Partnership is a workforce development initiative focused on creating  employees with a commitment to excellence.

The program creates a highly-competent workforce with marketable skills and a solid work-ethic, and transitions each graduate into either gainful employment or further training.

 

The curriculum includes the following:

  • Personal Development
    • Character Training- Teaching participants to be ‘Employees of Excellence’. This section covers topics important topics such as: ‘Integrity in the Workplace’, ‘Punctuality and Time Management’ and ‘Effective Conflict Resolution’, etc.
    • Hard-Skills Training- Providing students with all the skills needed for job searching and retention, including Resume Writing, Networking, Interviewing, and Communication Skills
    • Personalized Instruction- Each participant benefits from one-on-one mentoring with a job ‘coach’, and individualized training in which students create a Personal Achievement Plan.
    • Financial Education- Students learn the essentials of personal finance by creating a budget, and learning about credit and debt.
  • Professional Development
    • Top-tier Job Opportunities - Graduates have access to good jobs through our growing network of local companies. Examples include NASA and others.
    • Specialized Training - Graduates can transition into a variety of training and internship programs.
  • Successfuland Collaborative Curriculum
    • Strong Partnerships- Key partners include Shorebank Enterprise Group, Cleveland Public Schools, Tremont West Development Corp., etc.
    • Nationally Successful Curriculum- Boasting a 87% job-retention rate over 1 year, for those who complete the program
