Staff

Christopher Whitmore, Executive Director

Chris has served as Executive Director of Scranton Rd. Ministries C.D.C. for 12 years, and has been involved in revitalization efforts across Cleveland for 19.  Prior to joining the ministry, Chris worked as a Biomedical Engineer for 8 years with Bayer Diagnostics and Applied Medical Technology.

While working as an Engineer, Chris and his wife served with his church and the surrounding community on Cleveland’s west side.  A culturally vibrant community, Cleveland’s near-west side faces many challenges, but also has great potential.  In late 2001, a small but dedicated team committed to play an active role in serving this community, which was confirmed as they formally incorporated Scranton Rd. Ministries C.D.C., and Chris transitioned into full-time leadership. During this time, he also completed his M.B.A., with a focus in Finance and Urban Studies.

In his most important role as husband and father, Chris greatly enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife of 17 years, Michelle, and 2 awesome daughters, Abigail & Megan- hiking, traveling and laughing.
